It’s never too late to begin living the dream life that you want, whether you are in your 20s and deciding to explore things that you find enjoyable or you’re in your 40’s deciding to finally throw in the towel in your career and reroute. If you are in this phase of life right now, know that you are not alone and that it’s completely okay to live your dreams. Unapologetically.
In the blog post, you will be given all the tools you need to push yourself out of your comfort zone. It’s time to live the life you want TODAY, not tomorrow.
So recently I’ve entered a crossroad in my career path. In my head, I questioned myself saying, “Do I stay working in the casino business and make good money to support my family? Or do I drop everything I worked hard for and began building my businesses?” Making the choice to walk away from what you are familiar with is hard. What’s even more hard is making the decision to walk out on faith even if you’re unsure if your plans will follow through.
Here’s my take on all that: You can do anything you put your mind to. A watered seed will always grow.
WHEN DO YOU KNOW IT’S TIME TO CHANGE CAREER PATHS?
You know it’s time to change career paths when it’s two hours before your shift your already dreading it. Another example is if you tired of the constant repetitive cycle your job has you in and you start thinking to yourself, “why am I not working for myself?”
Whether you’re a mom and you want to find a way to do what your love and take care of the little ones. Or you outgrew what you once love and found something else that catches your interest, I am here to tell you that life is what you make it. Would you rather live life happily or unfulfilled?
DON’T SETTLE SIS.
Never settle for anything less than what you deserve and never take anything that has a low value towards your standards. It doesn’t matter if nobody else is doing it, and doesn’t matter what others may think. It’s your life, and you have the power to drive the boat nobody else. Honestly, I’ve come to learn that if you live your life base on other people’s expectations, rather than your own, you will never be fully happy. Who has time for that?
As far as my career path decision I decided to go for what I am called to do and not for what I am told to do. And as uncomfortable as I am to leave all of what I know, I recognize the leadership I have inside me and I am challenging myself to bring her forward.
So I challenge you. Start living today, reach down and pull that confidence up out of you and change your life. Don’t be the barrier that’s blocking your blessings. Fiercely go and accomplish your dreams.
Good luck on your journey!
